There is a lot of whining going on by Contreras and the Hernandez brothers (Wahington Post, Searcing for Home Base) because they will not be allowed to particiapate in the World Baseball Classic.
Grow up guys! You can not have your cake and eat it too. You either "defect" to the Yankee imperailists and stuff your pockets with lots of dollars, or stay in your native land.
They are viewed as apátridas in the island.
As far as I am concerned the best Cuban baseball players remanin there, and they play for love of the sport and love of their country.
